Malcolm Todd Sloan is a native of Toronto, Ontario Canada.  Mr. Sloan graduated from Alhambra High School in Phoenix, and attended The University of Miami (FL) for two years before transferring back home and graduating from The University of Arizona with a B.S.B.A in 1986.  Prior to graduating, Mr. Sloan served the Fall 1985 semester as an intern to former Arizona Congressman and Democratic presidential candidate Morris K. Udall in Washington, D.C.  After graduating, Mr. Sloan attended The University of Notre Dame Law School, graduating in May, 1989, and was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in October 1989.

Mr. Sloan has been practicing in the areas of consumer and commercial collections, civil litigation and personal injury law for almost 25 years.   Mr. Sloan’s past and present clients include financial institutions such as Valley National Bank of Arizona, Bank One Arizona, TruWest Credit Union, Fidelity National Bank, Citicorp, and Wells Fargo.  Mr. Sloan has often worked with his partner, Mr. Rapp, in complex civil cases, including the Baptist Foundation litigation. Mr. Sloan is skilled at handling both pre and post-judgment collection matters such as replevins, garnishments and attachments, and maintains an active, responsive and efficient staff.

Mr. Sloan’s familiarity with the collections process, his courtroom experience, and his personal commitment to obtaining the best results possible for his clients serve as the foundation of Mr. Sloan’s practice.  Mr. Sloan prides himself on being directly involved with each of his cases, and in his collections practice handles 95% of all debtor contacts and negotiations personally.  His “hands-on” approach has paid dividends to Mr. Sloan’s clients over the years, as clients realize and appreciate the benefits of having collections counsel as directly engaged as Mr. Sloan.  With respect to his personal injury practice, Mr. Sloan is committed to maximizing the value of his client’s injury claims, while minimizing as best he can the time and effort necessary  to obtain a successful resolution.
